As an extension of Riley's birthday celebration, we took Jace, Riley and Sully to the Great Wolf Lodge and Riley's friend, Carson, and his family joined us too. The boys had so much fun! It's a huge indoor water park so it's a perfect little getaway in the middle of January in Ohio. They keep the air at 84 degrees and the water temp was probably about the same.
I didn't get very many pictures of Riley because him and Carson were off with the daddies doing the bigger water slides. Jace and Sully stuck with me in the smaller water slide area. Jace's favorite was the medium sized blue one!
Jace enjoyed trying to splash people with the splash pullies!
And the day is not complete unless the 2 year old is trying to drink the yucky chlorinated water!
After playing in the water park for almost three hours, the kids were ready for dinner. So we headed back to the room for some pizza....while we were waiting, the boys started putting together one of Riley's birthday presents.
The next morning the kids slept in pretty well (8AM)...the water park opened at 10AM so we ate breakfast in the room and hung out until it was time to go swimming again. The boys favorite pool was the "hot tub"...it was a kid hot tub so it wasn't that hot -- bath temperature. We'd alternate from playing in the big wave pool after the wolf howled (because that meant they were making waves!) then back to the hot tub...then some slides and back to the hot tub.
The adults even got to have a little fun -- we switched off watching the kids with Carson's parents so the adults could go ride the "big slides". The water roller coaster was the best!
The kids enjoying the big pool in between waves!
Jace made a friend in the wave pool and went to ride the lazy river a few times...Cody had Sully so he walked behind the tubes and got his workout in for the day!
It was a lot of fun...we're hoping to make it back there before we move this summer because the boys had so much fun!
