Last weekend we took the kids to the North Pole...North Pole, Colorado that is! Santa's Workshop is located there which not only has the big man himself but also a bunch of fun little amusement park type of rides. The kids had a blast! First things first...we had to stop by Santa's house and make sure he knew exactly what Riley and Sully want for Christmas this year. Riley was very specific about wanting the Lego Death Star...Santa knew all about it and even how many pieces are in the set! Sully said he wants three toys...but when pressed for specifics about which three toys, he just kept saying "Three toys" and held up three fingers. I'm pretty sure Santa will pick out some good things to bring him!
After talking with Santa it was time to get down to business...the business of having fun! Riley was very excited about all of the rides. Sully was a little more reserved and watched Riley go on most things first then wanted to go on with him after he saw it was safe!
Riley was very cooperative for pictures...Sully, not so much.
So I had to catch Sully in action to grab any decent pictures!
As you can tell, Riley was all smiles!
Sully couldn't wait to ride the lady bug...despite the look he was giving me, he did enjoy the ride.
He rode the "ornament" with daddy and liked controlling the bar up and down.
Riley went on some pretty fast rides and loved them...he rode the roller coaster seven times!
Sully did ride the roller coaster once and was done...he preferred the slower speed rides.
Both boys loved the motorcycles...who wouldn't love to press that annoying horn the ENTIRE ride!
Riley wouldn't go on the big candy cane slide the first time we passed it but on our way out he tried it and loved it! All three boys went on it seven times in a row!
We lucked out with the weather (notice crazy Cody in short sleeves...it was in the mid 50s which isn't exactly short sleeve weather to me!). With absolutely no lines, we were able to ride everything we wanted several times...it was a great day at the North Pole!
